Buruguduystunstugudunstuy: Ang Parokya ni Edgar Musical'
The title is quite a mouthful to pronounce but there’s only one thing that matters, it’s a musical that features Parokya ni Edgar’s most-loved songs. In fact, the name of their second play is taken from the album that the band released in 1997 which contained hits like “Harana,” “Silvertoes,” “Sayang,” and “Please Don’t Touch My Birdie.”
The story revolves around a group of four friends whose lives were completely changed by music. An all-female cast will be portraying the main characters. Director Dexter M. Santos and artistic directors Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo and Michael Williams will be leading the production of this most-anticipated play from Parokya ni Edgar.
One More Chance The Musical
"You had me at my best, but you chose to break my heart." Popoy and Basha's fans know this line all too well.
And, prepare a bigger box of tissues because this time around, the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) and Ben & Ben will stage a musical interpretation of the unforgettable John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo’s ‘One More Chance’.
PETA shared that they will reveal information about the playwright, director, actors, and other team members bit by bit.
Rent
Another Broadway musical will make its way to Philippine theaters this year. Jonathan Larson’s "Rent," inspired by Puccini's opera "La Boheme," tells the story of a group of young artists trying to make a living in the East Village of New York City during the tough times of the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
The musical dives into their friendships, love lives, and the difficulties they encounter as they go through life. It's a touching and sincere tale that connects with the audience.
9 Works first staged Rent in February 2010 at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium. Their 2024 showing will be its 4th restaging.

It covers the time from the conclusion of the Philippine Revolution in 1898 to the start of the Philippine-American War in 1899.
