Newport World Resorts sends relief to those affected by Mindanao earthquake

Newport World Resorts turned over 1,000 relief bags to the Philippine Air Force in support of communities hit by the Mindanao earthquake. The turnover was led by Newport World Resorts President and CEO Nilo Thaddeus Rodriguez (center left), Chief Legal and Administrative Officer Atty. In response to the June 8 earthquake that struck Mindanao, Newport World Resorts has deployed 1,000 relief packs to affected families and communities. The effort was carried out through Newport World Resorts Foundation Inc., as part of its League of Volunteer Employees (LOVE) to the Rescue initiative.

Employees from across the integrated resort came together to prepare 1,000 relief packs filled with essential food items and daily necessities. To ensure the timely delivery of assistance, the integrated resort coordinated with the Philippine Air Force (PAF), which facilitated the transport of the relief goods from Villamor Air Base to Sarangani Province.

Upon reaching the province, the donations were received by local Air Force personnel and turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office XII for distribution to affected communities.
