The Philippine Culinary Cup 2024 has concluded after four competition days between the country’s top culinary masterminds. The medal haul for Newport World Resorts’ all-star hotels is the highest from a single property at 55 total accolades, including the Overall Championship Cup earned by Marriott Manila.

The delegation for Marriott Manila scored back-to-back championships after taking home the prestigious cup last year, with a total haul of 17 medals. The team, led by Executive Chef Meik Brammer, snagged the coveted highest gold for the Dream Team Challenge, U.S. Beef, and Dress the Cake, and a gold for U.S. Lamb categories. This year’s impressive showing by the hotel marks its 5th overall championship with wins from 2015, 2016, 2018, and 2023—another milestone that Marriott is grateful for as they celebrate their 15 wonderful years.

Following its successful debut during last year’s cup is Hotel Okura Manila’s culinary team, led by Executive Sous Chef Jerrymie Tamayo. The team celebrated 12 wins across 17 competition entries, including both a silver and bronze at the Creative Breakfast Challenge and Chocolate Showpiece categories, and a second runner-up accolade at the French Touch Challenge (Seafood).  

Following its successful debut during last year’s cup is Hotel Okura Manila’s culinary team, led by Executive Sous Chef Jerrymie Tamayo. The team celebrated 12 wins across 17 competition entries, including both a silver and bronze at the Creative Breakfast Challenge and Chocolate Showpiece categories, and a second runner-up accolade at the French Touch Challenge (Seafood).  
Hilton Manila, 2022 overall champions, took home 18 medals. Led by Executive Chef Lord Bayaban, the team dominated in 12 categories, highlighted by twin silver wins from the Dream Team Challenge and U.S. Beef Categories as well as a Silver from the Young Chefs Team Challenge.

The team from Sheraton Manila Hotel made its triumphant return to the podium in this year’s competition with 8 medals. The team led by Executive Chef Andrea Burzio and Korean Executive Chef Kibum Park placed in 8 categories, including silver in the Wedding Cake and U.S. Pork categories.
