Acoustic icons of OPM serenade in first collaboration concert

OPM fans get a triple dose of nostalgic feels this February 23 as their first-ever collaboration concert “Strings and Voices: A Threelogy Series” presents a dazzling display of live acoustic performances and heartfelt lyrics at the Newport Performing Arts Theater (NPAT).

From charming through the silver screen as a child star to captivating the music industry as a renowned musician, Ice Seguerra's journey has been a string of 35 successful years. The former child wonder turned his attention to music and scored a major hit in 2001 with the single “Pagdating ng Panahon”. Now, the time has come for Seguerra to serenade audiences at the NPAT stage with more of his phenomenal hits.

On the other hand, Joey Generoso, or simply Joey G—counted among the Philippine music scene’s first-rate singers—continues to strum an interesting musical journey. Moving on from his band in 2015 to pursue a solo career, the former lead vocalist has also gone on to form a new band and make more new music.

For the veteran musician Noel Cabangon, it could be his soulful voice or the rather touching melody of “Kanlungan” that made him among the most recognized voices of the OPM acoustic movement in the late 1990s. Since then, the singer-songwriter’s music has been the soundtrack of every generation.

The talented trinity of the Philippines’ acoustic circuit is set to unleash their combined brilliance and best-loved songs in a heartwarming concert experience, one that lingers long after the final chord.
